EEGI Implementation Plan 2015-2017
The Implementation Plan 2015-2017 has been developed based on the new EEGI R&I Roadmap and the results of the public consultation launched last November. It summarizes the priorities which projects launched in the period 2015-2017 should focus on regarding both transmission and distribution aspects.
Therefore, this document should be used as initial input to European Commission (EC), European Electricity Grid Initiative (EEGI), technology providers and other stakeholders.
The EEGI Implementation Plan is updated yearly in order to better reflect industry’s needs and to take into account outputs coming from the on-going R&I projects.
In March 2014, the active involvement of ENTSO-E and EDSO for SmartGrids, led to the EEGI Implementation Plan 2015-2017 according to EEGI R&I Roadmap 2013-2022 approved in late 2012. It gave priorities for projects to be launched in 2015, and suggested future R&D topics to be covered in 2016 and 2017.
